Buying or Selling your Home
Moving home can be stressful at any age, particularly if you are advancing in years, where you may be selling the family home and 'downsizing' to a smaller property, moving into rented accommodation, sheltered housing or with a member of the family.
The role of equityCare Legal Services is to:
- Guide you through the legal process of buying or selling your home.
- If you are selling, prepare your Home Information Pack (HIP) to assist your estate agent in marketing the property.
- Ensure that your financial enquiries have been addressed.
- Liaise with other people involved including solicitors, estate agents, surveyors and financial advisers and check documents they have asked you to sign.
- Report to you on the meaning and effect of the legal documentation involved in the buying or selling of your home.
- Advise on trusts and agreements where you are moving in with a member of the family.
- After completing the matter, equityCare Legal Services will offer a legal health check to include information on making or reviewing your Will and Lasting Power of Attorney, checking the validity of any existing Enduring Power of Attorney, and protecting your property and savings should you be admitted into a care home in the future.
For more information on buying or selling your home, please call equityCare Legal Services direct on 01594 838940 or take a few minutes to complete our enquiry / request callback form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
