Who are equityCare Legal Services? What will be the cost of the legal services? What if I have concerns about the service I have received from equityCare Legal Services? Who regulates equityCare Legal Services?

Who are equitycare Legal Services?

equityCare Legal Services has been established to extend access to legal advice and support in a range of legal issues. The service is provided through Gwyn James solicitors, an established law firm with several practice areas and a national reputation in its specialist field of elder client issues.

The service will give you access to an initial free consultation with one of our advisers who will discuss the matter with you, advise how equityCare Legal Services can help you and give guidance on the costs of the services you require. The advice provided during the consultation is without obligation and in complete confidence.

What will be the cost of the legal services?

During the consultation you will be provided with clear details of the price of the services to enable you to make a decision before proceeding. In some cases it may be possible to obtain public funding under the Legal Aid Scheme. If Gwyn James is unable to provide this service under its contract with the Legal Services Commission, you will be directed to an alternative legal firm who may be able to help you.

What if I have concerns about the service I have received from equityCare Legal Services?

Initially you should write to equityCare Limited or Gwyn James setting out your concerns which will be dealt with by Gwyn James under its complaints procedure, details of which you will receive with your initial correspondence.

Who regulates equityCare Legal Services?

equityCare Legal Services has nominated Gwyn James to provide the service because it is an established law firm with several practice areas and a national reputation in its specialist field of elder client issues. The firm is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and is under an obligation to comply with a set of rules known as the Solicitors' Code of Conduct setting out standards of behaviour and professional performance to ensure that clients receive a good service.
