The Royal British Legion in Scotland
The Royal British Legion Scotland is the prime ex-Service organisation. It exists to promote remembrance & comradeship and in a partnership with other ex-Service charities, to be responsible for the provision of welfare, benevolence and pension support of ex-Servicemen and women and their dependents throughout Scotland.
EquityCare are working in partnership with the RBL Scotland offering care advice and access to legal advice to all the Legion members and their families. This includes a free helpline, legal advice provided by two of Scotland’s leading Lawyers specialising in the care sector – Archibald, Campbell and Harley (Edinburgh) and Turnbull & Ward (Glasgow), professional financial advice on funding for care at home or in a home, as well as many other benefits.
FirstStop Advice
FirstStop Advice is an independent, free service providing advice and information for older people, their families and carers about housing and care options in later life. FirstStop also offers useful information for carers looking for support and advice.
EquityCare work closely with FirstStop, a government backed charity. They provide our free frontline help and advice on all aspects of care. Any more specific funding or legal related issues get referred on to our team of professional advisers.
